In continuation of my Secret Despatch of the

9th. April, 1915, I have the honour to transmit the enclosed para- -phrases and translations of cypher and code telegrams exchanged between this Government and the Colonial Office on questions arising

out of the Anglo-German War.

With a view to keeping a better record of the movements of Indians leaving this Colony for India, I arranged with Major-General F. H. Kelly, C.B., Commanding the Troops, that all Indians desiring to leave the Colony should be required to obtain permits from the Captain Superintendent of Police, and a notification to that effect has been issued (copy attached).

A detachment of the Shropshire Light Infantry

about Territorial Battalion numbering / 375 has recently arrived in the Colony thereby relieving the Volunteer Corps of some of the duties which had been assigned to them.
